FAIR GAMING ADVOCATE ISSUES DISPUTES REPORT

Data obtainable from Fair Gaming Advocate seems to illustrate that cash-ins form the bulk of disputes they deal with.

While releasing the organizations’ 2009 first quarters disputes report, Tex Rees, the Fair Gaming Advocate at the independent player protection and standards body eCOGRA, revealed that the entire number of disputes processed for the entire 2008 period stood at 743 which was comparatively lower than those of 2007 at 783 cases.

Statistically, the greatest number of cases, 73 or fifty percent involved cash-ins, going way ahead of casino bonus issues at 19 percent representing 27 genuine complaints. Locked account complaints last quarter hit the 30 mark or 27 percent, also going beyond the bonus issues and the miscellaneous issues followed with 15 cases.

Out of a total of 197 grievances received via eCOGRA’s webpage in the first quarter 2009, 25 cases did not qualify because they involved operators not recognized and accredited by eCOGRA and thus limiting any possible influence on them. 27 out of the remaining 172 lacked simple and basic courtesy while others were not clear in their nature, putting eCOGRA at a loss regarding them.

A total of 145 complaints were scrutinized and arbitrated by Rees, determining 59 in support of the player. Fair Gaming Advocates disposed of an average 15.1 percent grievance weekly within an average of 72 hours.

“For the very first time, it should be noted that cases of ‘locked accounted’ complaints gone up by 4 percent have exceeded the ‘bonus’ queries,” noted Rees. “This probably is an indication that the growing numbers of disputes are relating to linked accounts (a scheme used by players attempting to exploit bonus promotions) and many counterfeit accounts come to the surface.

The key indicator statistic of average number of grievances per authentic operational link per month came down to 0.36 from the average 0.39 documented during the entire 2008.

What are the Best Online Casino Bonuses?

It is first necessary to define and explain both what online casino bonus is, and what its main role is. Bonuses are incentives that an
online us casino offers the player in order to encourage him or her to make a deposit into the account that player may have on that casino. There are several types of bonuses: no deposit bonuses, loyalty bonuses, bonuses for referring a friend, and bonuses in the player’s first, second and third deposit.

Welcome bonuses are those given by the casino once a player is registered and / or after he or she made a first deposit. A welcome bonus can be a percentage bonus or the casino may offer a fixed amount. Percentages may vary from casino to casino, reaching up to 2000% in some cases.
No deposit bonuses are the amount of money a casino gives the player on registration – there is no need to deposit any money to get it. These bonuses start from $ 10, like the ones you can find on the most famous online casinos such as Europa Casino and Casino Tropez, but there are many others offering higher amounts of money.

Loyalty bonuses are those bonuses that casinos give away to players that are already a part of the online casino in order to reward their loyalty. Loyalty bonuses can be either percentage or fixed-amount bonuses.

The bonuses for second and third deposits are those awarded to the player once he has already received the welcome bonus and made the subsequent deposit. These bonuses are usually 25% or 50% of the deposit amount, reaching 100% of the deposit in same cases.
